This series began as a simple value sketch of the Hudson River -- shapes in black and white and grey drawn on a paper napkin.

 

Back in the studio, these forms evolved to become “vessels” which represent both containers and conveyances.

 

Now highly symbolic, the forms capture a sometimes whimsical sense of the human journey through history, memory and time.
