TOTEM SERIES
This recent work monumentalizes forms and shapes inspired by natural objects
encountered in South Florida. Painted in multiple layers and then scraped back to reveal previous iterations, this work explores surfaces and what lies beneath them. The layering of colors and forms creates an enigmatic history.
