“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things,
but their inward significance.”
So many things inspire me: patterns, leaves, pods and trunks, the color shifts in the night sky or graffiti. In the studio, I work intuitively to juxtapose these inspirations into layered and gestural work as I combine paint, collage, charcoal My work is successful when it provokes a sense of wonder, a feeling of connection or a new idea.
I have exhibited extensively in New York's Hudson Valley and Florida, and most recently in Berlin, Germany. My work is in numerous private collections and as a former gallery owner I have curated many exhibits. I conduct workshops locally and abroad, and have a passion for guiding people to find their
unique creative voice.
